“Starr Rochelle is an Astoria native. She received her Bachelors degree from CUNY Hunter College in 2015. Growing up active as a runner she suffered an injury in 2013 that required her to take time off from that, which is when she discovered yoga. She has been practicing ever since and instructing as a personal trainer since 2016. As a trainer she focuses on functional movement as well as strength and conditioning and frequently incorporates yoga into her training style. She believes yoga is more than just a practice to keep the body mobile and strong, it is also a way of life. She is registered with Yoga Alliance as a RYT 200 and her background in yoga lies in vinyasa and restorative.”

KENDALL: I fell in love with yoga ten years ago, and have never looked back! As an actor and a New Yorker, I find the practice of yoga vital to staying level headed. It brings an awareness to the connection between my breath and body that is invaluable, and a sense of calm to my otherwise chaotic day to day. I have been teaching all over New York City since 2012, and have fallen in love with providing my students with powerful vinyasa classes, intertwined with deep restorative postures. I use music and eucalyptus massages to help students forget about what they think they should look like, and focus, even for just an hour, on what they feel like. Yoga has the power to balance us physically and emotionally, all while dropping our egos, and taking up our god given space! It’s pure magic, and I want everyone to leave my classes feeling empowered, strong as hell, and blissed out!

 MONIKA HARCZUK

I am fortunate to do what I love for a living. What do I love? I love to explore and observe the physical body and its movements; understanding its functioning and its needs. I love to teach and through my guidance to help my students experience more than improved, physical change. I use guidance and physical movement to help my students connect or reconnect to their bodies again: to know themselves better, make healthier choices and become more sensitive to their bodies’ needs. Iyengar yoga is the third major piece on my physical and spiritual journey. On a mental level it made me more sharp, alert and confident. On a spiritual level it clarified for me even more that the practice of yoga is another “active way” to meditate. I have been a committed Iyengar Yoga practitioner since 2010 and in 2017 I finished the 2 year teacher training program in the Iyengar Yoga Institute of New York. I am still continuing my educational process of this method by taking, observing and assisting weekly classes in the Iyengar Institute.: Certified Yoga Instructor

During my classes I like to often challenge students to reach their full potential. Connecting the breath to movement in a faster paced vinyasa flow.  Often challenging and fun yoga poses , we progressively develop body flexibility and encourage the power of breath and mental awareness to enhance attention and focus.

 Brittany:

I teach a Vinyasa style  yoga practice, that has a more athletic approach. So you will definitely break a sweat. I have been a RYT teacher since 2011 and I absolutely love sharing my passion with all my students. I am more of a level 2 teacher although my classes are challenging they are also easy to follow.
